Rosenzweig's New Law

Abstract


The article discusses Rosenzweig's discovery of the "new Law" in the last decade of his life and elucidates this expression. It is argued that, in Rosenzweig's view, the life-giving "new Law," as pertaining to the whole of life, is rooted in love and creates community. The article refers to the "Star" and to the essay "The Builders" and is based upon the information available in the Gritli letters. It explicitates Rosenweig's intriguing vision of the "new Law."
