The purpose of the Proceedings of the Internationale Rosenzweig Gesellschaft is to serve as the IRG’s organ for the presentation, discussion, and dissemination of original scholarship devoted to Franz Rosenzweig’s thought. Each year, the Proceedings will publish the highest-quality papers that have been presented at the conferences, lectures, and workshops of the IRG. We aim thereby to foster the research and analysis of all aspects of Rosenzweig’s thinking, including but not limited to his contributions to philosophy and theology, to political theory, cultural studies, and the philosophy of education, as well as to the study of the Bible and its Jewish and Christian interpretive traditions. The editors work closely with the IRG’s board of directors to ensure that the broadest possible diversity of methodological and disciplinary perspectives on Rosenzweig’s work appear in the Proceedings, and seek thereby to communicate the scholarly findings of the IRG to the broadest academic readership possible.
