Focus and Scope
The GSUEJ is a student-run undergraduate journal in the engineering department at the University of Toronto. The journal will feature original research articles from all engineering disciplines and aims to publish well written, interesting articles that are relevant to engineers, including news articles and research papers from work conducted by undergraduate students.
The following types of articles are accepted for publication:
- Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Research Letters
- News/Interest Articles
|Open Submissions||Indexed||Peer Reviewed|
Peer Review Process
We will have two rounds in the review process. The first round will accept topic and article abstracts and will be reviewed by board editors. After being accepted by board editors based on relevance to the field and scientific soundness, submissions will be asked to submit the full paper for a second round of review. The second round will involve a more in-depth peer review process. Articles will be reviewed and revised by two editorial members and will be accepted based on scientific merit as well as novelty and interest of the research field. In addition, reviewers will also look for clarity of writing and a strong frame within the article.
Abstract articles will be accepted until mid October every year. Afterwards, articles will be accepted and published on a rolling basis throughout the year and bundled into an annual issue at the end of April.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
